Right then, knowledgable peeps... as far as I was aware male dragons will mount and/or bite the females head/neck/frills as part of the courtship display, but didn't think it went the other way round.. i.e. FEMALE dragon mounting and biting the male...?!

Mei Mei has done this twice now and poor little Char doesn't look terribly impressed - Jono's worried that she may turn aggressive towards Char and attack him properly but there doesn't seem to be any other aggression at all - Mei's always been the dominant one (head bobbing/larger/MUCH wider head than Char, no obvious femoral pores so we're as sure as we can be that she is indeed a she), so could this just be one of the ways she's, ahem, expressing herself?!

Not that I'm averse to having dragon babies, but someone may need to gently explain to Mei how babies come about....

I maybe shouldn't butt in here, I kept reptiles (water dragons) years ago and might have something usefull to add.

I'm assuming you mean bearded dragons? Is it possible she is reaching puberty? Quite often reptiles (as do a lot of animals) will mount the opposite or even same sex as they approach sexual maturity. Of course my other option would be its a dominence thing. Once the heirachy is estalished everthings should become peacefull again

hope you dont mind me butting in
