Well I've had my fuzzy dwarf lion-fish (Dendrochirus brachypterus) for a couple of years now, and he has been on his own almost the entire time, apart from a long-spine Urchin. A few weeks ago I decided it was finally time to upgrade his tank and get his some friends. Because I couldn't fit something huge in the available space I went for a 100L tank that is around 30 inches long.

Yesterday I added his first companion in the form of a Valentini Puffer. It came from Real Reefs near Cheltenham and was previously a customer's that was given in because of a change of circumstances.... So here he is!

Not sure who gave you this info but most of the fuzzy dwarfs I have seen in retail are brought in, weined onto mysis / small shrimps at a fairly early age and don't waste their time with live prey. I've had mine just over 2 years and it has always eaten chunks of mysis and krill quite happily, It's now kept with an absolutely stunning Fornasini cow fish (which I shall post pics of soon) and they are all doing swimmingly :P
